After the War, Russell went to Dorset, being used on the Fayles Tramway, in the 'isle of Purbeck'

| 1950, on the Fayles Tramway | May 1953, and Russell shunts a train of loaded clay trucks over the
weighbridge at Nordon. In this year, the Talyllyn Railway saw its 3rd operating year under the preservation soc., and Bagnal 3050 'Gelert' was built.
