Russell's goes to the Ffestiniog, 1990

A short time later, and Russell is at Boston Lodge Works. Lets hope they don't cut bits off her again!
Her first test train is to be taking a dead diesel back up to Minffordd yard.
After the last service train, Russell takes a test train accross the Cob from Pothmadog to Minffordd.

The test run shows up a hot bareing on Russells, so rapairs are undertaken in Boston Lodge. Luckely, all the gas axes are kept away from her, and nobody cuts her cab down!
Finally Gala week arrives, and Russell is on show for the general Public again.
Russell and a Double Fairly. This gives a good view of the differing loading guages of the FR & Welsh Highland Railway.
And at last Russell goes storming up the line!
And our last shot just goes to prove that Portmadog does have a 3rd Railway Station, even though you can't see it from the main line!
